King of the jungle
The Lion is one of the most widely recognised animal symbols in the world. This apex predator is ingrained in our mythology here in Africa but around the globe. Often depicted as “king of the jungle” and “king of beasts” in folklore, the lion became a popular symbol for royalty families and stateliness.
From inspiring the Granite statues of the Egyptian of the goddess Sekhmet in ancient times, right through to blockbuster film & theater franchises like the “The Lion king”, lions have left deep impressions on human culture.
Today Riley Ashford will honour this big cat with a striking design, and by taking us through the steps in producing a Laser engraved wooden Coaster. Starting off by preparing the art-work, and then methodically talking us through the setup and settings for his AM.co.za TruCUT Lite 400x300mm Desktop 40w CO2 Laser Cutting and Engraving Machine to make this inspired piece.
